The Northwestern University Center for Patient Safety is pleased to announce a free Disclosure Symposium on October 10th, 2008.

Just a few years ago, the disclosure of adverse events was a controversial and highly debated topic in the healthcare industry.  Recently, on both a local and national scale, there has been an increase in the adoption of various disclosure programs.  Later this year, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Northwestern University will be hosting speakers who have aided in the advancement of the disclosure of adverse events.

Date:  Friday, October 10th, 2008
Time:  8:00am-12:00pm

Location:  250 E. Superior Street, Chicago, IL 60611.  Prentice Building.  Lavin Bernick Flat Auditorium (Conference Room L)

The keynote speaker will be Richard Boothman, Chief Risk Officer for the University of Michigan Health Systems.  Featured speakers include Doug Wojcieszak, founder of The Sorry Works! Coalition and Timothy McDonald, MD, JD, Professor of Anesthesiology and Pediatrics, University of Illinois at Chicago; Chief Safety and Risk Officer for Health Affairs for the University of Illinois.

Event Contact:  Allan Doeksen, Project Coordinator 312-503-5525 Northwestern Center for Patient Safety a-doeksen@northwestern.edu
