Electronics Lab Workspace

The Electronics Lab is a fully equipped electronics facility with the capability of electronic circuit construction, including surface-mounted circuits. This lab serves as the development space for circuits used in electronic upper-limb applications and other electronic devices. We have a full range of discrete components:

  • standard integrated circuits (IC) both dual-in-line (DIP) and surface mount (SOIC)
  • bench-top power supplies
  • signal generators
  • multimeters
  • voltage reference devices

We have several oscilloscopes, including:

  • an Agilent 54622D Mixed Signal Oscilloscope (2 analog channels and 16 digital channels)
  • a Tektronix 2230 100 MHz digital storage oscilloscope
  • a Tektronix 2214 digital storage oscilloscope

We also have a range of design software packages at our disposal. They are:

  • OrCAD schematic design software
  • EagleCAD schematic and layout design software
  • MicroPIC microprocessor development software and programming hardware
  • INFORM Corporation’s fuzzyTECH Fuzzy Logic System Development Platform for Windows environment, which includes INFORM’s NeuroFuzzy and FuzzyCluster Add-on Modules
  • Lattice Corp’s programmable logic device (PLD) development software
