THINK GLOBALLY, ACT EVERYWHERE.... Experience global health with the Northwestern University Department of Family Medicine, Global Health Education and Community Services Program The GHECS program recognizes global health as an important local and global phenomenon. We encourage Feinberg medical students to experience health education in low resource settings abroad and in Chicago. We provide diverse global health activities for Northwestern University Feinberg students, including research and community service opportunities, educational seminars, workshops, courses and other global health-related events. We encourage a dual focus on education and community service by providing strong academic support for public health projects and clinical rotations with a consistent focus on positive impact in the communities where we work.
Dr. Bechara Choucair, Vice Chair for Community Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, Northwestern University and Clinic Director, Dr. Leonel Lopez, ASDIM Community Clinic, Momostenango, Guatemala We invite students who are interested in working in community clinics abroad to contact us for more information.
