The Northwestern University Fellowship for Underserved Care trains physicians to address health care needs of underserved populations, with an emphasis on public health and disease prevention.  Academic coursework in epidemiology, statistics, environmental health and management lead to the MPH degree.  Training will include field projects and clinical care at the Lake County Health Department and its largely Hispanic population. Fellows will be able to participate in research projects. The fellowship will prepare primary care physicians for leadership roles in academics, community health, and research.
