Dr. Pedram Gerami is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He is board certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. Dr. Gerami completed his residency training in Dermatology at the University of Iowa in the Department of Dermatology and completed his fellowship training in Dermatopathology in the Division of Dermatology at the Unversity of Chicago. He has special interests in cutaneous lymphomas, pediatric dermatopathology and panniculitis. He is a staff physician in the multidisciplinary cutaneous lymphoma clinic at Northwestern Medical Center, providing care for patients with mycosis fungoides and other cutaneous T and B cell lymphomas. Dr. Gerami is also on staff at Children's Memorial Hospital and works closely with the pediatric dermatology staff in the evaluation of a variety of pediatric dermatopathology cases including melanocytic, vascular, and other tumors as well as inflammatory conditions and genodermatoses. Dr. Gerami has research interests in further characterizing cutaneous lymphomas using both immunohistochemical and molecular patology techniques. He is also interested in the use of biologic therapies for cutaneous lymphoma patients. His research interests in pediatric dermatopathology are broad and include the improved pathologic characterization of a variety of pediatric skin disorders. |
